Georges Montefiore-Levi
Georges Montefiore-Levi (1832–1906) was a Belgian inventor of Jewish origin who invented phosphorus bronze.[1] He was also an active philanthropist. One of Belgium's oldest engineering schools, the "Institut Montefiore" in Liège bears his name.
